For the first time since the field was installed before the Naturals’ inaugural 2008 season, Arvest Ballpark completed an extensive field replacement during the off-season. The Naturals, in partnership with local municipalities, engaged 4Most Sports Group, a nationwide leader in outdoor athletic field construction and management, on this massive project to improve the overall health of the field and the irrigation and drainage system.
The opening day pitch was thrown on April 6, kicking off the Natural’s 138-games season highlighted by 69 home games featuring 17 fireworks shows, four bobblehead giveaways, two Faith & Family Nights, Theme Nights such as Star Wars Night and Marvel’s Defenders of the Diamond Night, daily food and beverage specials, and much more.
Students, teachers, and chaperones from schools across Northwest Arkansas will receive an education packet prior to their field trip to Arvest Ballpark and discounted tickets to special Education Day games on May 2 and 16.
The Naturals will once again participate in Minor League Baseball’s Copa de la Diversion initiative by playing three games, May 5, August 10, and August 11, as Los Naturales del Noroeste de Arkansas to celebrate the local Hispanic culture and connect with that community. The team will also reprise their role as the Northwest Arkansas Growlin’ Chickens on May 19 and 20 to honor the region’s reputation as one of the nation’s top poultry producers.
