The Northwest Arkansas Naturals (Double-A Affiliate of the Kansas City Royals) captured the first ever Double-A Central Championship after defeating Wichita on Friday, September 24th. After winning the first two games at Arvest Ballpark, the Naturals beat the Wichita Wind Surge (Double-A Affiliate of the Minnesota Twins) at Riverfront Stadium by a 6-2 final to complete the three-game sweep. The league title for Northwest Arkansas is the club’s first since they won the Texas League Championship during the 2010 season.
