When nearly 700 guests gathered at the Buffalo AKG Art Museum for Family Fiesta, they experienced more than an evening of art, music, and community. They were treated to a one-of-a-kind dessert experience created by the talented team at Frost Artisan Bakery, whose creativity, passion, and attention to detail transformed dessert into an unforgettable part of the celebration.
Presented as a vibrant celebration of family, culture, and creativity, Family Fiesta brought together community members of all ages for an evening filled with art, entertainment, activities, and food. As a featured partner, Frost Artisan Bakery was invited to create a dessert experience inspired by the spirit of the event and the Buffalo AKG’s exhibition themes of gathering, connection, abundance, and artistic expression.
The result was a visually stunning and immersive installation that invited guests to engage not only with the desserts themselves, but with the stories, cultures, and creativity behind them.
“Our vision was to create more than a dessert table. We wanted to create an experience that feels like an extension of the artwork itself,” said Jasmine Hidalgo, Executive Pastry Chef at Frost Artisan Bakery. “Through vibrant flavors, artistic presentation, and interactive elements, guests were invited to explore, create, and celebrate together. From our dramatic cake piñata centerpiece to hands-on cookie decorating inspired by cultures and traditions represented throughout the exhibition, every detail was designed to spark joy, connection, and a sense of wonder.”
During her remarks at the event, Hidalgo reflected on the significance of the partnership and the hard work of her team.
“My team at Frost Artisan Bakery, Shannon, Jenn, Kayla, and I were honored to have the opportunity to showcase our desserts, creativity, and culture while celebrating family and community,” she said.
The Frost team’s passion and artistry made a lasting impression on both guests and event organizers. Following the event, representatives from the Buffalo AKG Art Museum shared their appreciation for the collaboration and its impact on attendees.

Jasmine did a beautiful job with remarks, highlighting how she and the team brought the culinary vision to life and paid homage to the event and exhibition. For the Frost team, the recognition was a reflection of months of planning, creativity, and collaboration across multiple teams.

The success of Family Fiesta was made possible through the support of New York State Assemblymember Jon D. Rivera, with additional in-kind contributions from Rich Products, the Rich Family Foundation, and Frost Artisan Bakery, a Rich Entertainment Group business and part of Rich Products’ family of companies. Together, these partners created an experience that celebrated the power of art, culture, food, and community to bring people together.
